The Next Big Thing

Last week the effervescent Clodagh Murphy tagged me to answer questions about my work-in-progress. I thought, ooh, a game of tag, how fun! Even better if it involved baked goods of some kind, but I couldn’t figure out how to do that without getting icing on the keyboard. So here are my calorie-free answers.

Happy Earned-Out-Your-Advance Day, Single in the City

Today is a momentous day. Just 851 days after Penguin UK published my debut, Single in the City, it has earned out its advance! 

For anyone not in the book business, this means that Single in the City has sold enough copies to recoup the advance that Penguin paid me.

Happy Book Birthday!

I'm thrilled to announce the birth of my newest book, The Twelve Days to Christmas!

She arrived on 11th October, 2012 at 12.01am after a fairly easy labour, weighing in at 120 pages. Author and book are doing fine and her big sisters, Single in the City and Misfortune Cookie, can't wait to welcome her into the family.

Thank you, friends and fans, for all your support. Here she is ... I think she looks a bit like me, don't you?
